The London Borough of Hackney have contacted us as they would like to ensure that local small businesses are made aware of the following information regarding the Small Business Rate Relief Scheme. There are potentially over 1400 businesses that may qualify for the SBRR scheme but are yet to apply. If the rateable value of your business property is below £10,000 you may be eligible for small business relief. You could potentially be saving up to 50% off your Business Rates bill. Small business relief can also be back dated to 2007/08 financial year. Unclaimed discount is in the broadest sense over £2.7m when including the discount available for 2009/10 year.
