24/06/2009 - £100k Catering Contract - Hackney

London Borough of Hackney has put out a tender for an operator for the Customer Services public cafe and a sandwich round.

Expressions of interest are being sought from experienced caterers to manage and run the catering services in the brand new Hackney Customer Services Centre which will open in Hillman Street E8, in the centre of Hackney, in 2010.

Supply London, in partnership with Hackney council, is running a pre-qualification workshop to support SMEs that require some help in understanding the pre-qualification process.

 

The opportunity

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is July 17th 2009. Full contract notice.
 
To note:

  • LB of Hackney is welcoming caterers operating a Fair Trade policy, from Social Enterprises and from local businesses in the borough

  • Food preparation will have to take place off site

  • Anticipated number of customers visiting the centre c 1500 ; over 1500 Council staff with the potential for other Council services to be located within the building

  • The Sandwich Round will allow c2500 Council staff to purchase pre-packaged sandwiches

The pre-qualification workshop

In response to this tender Supply London is delivering  a FREE Successfully Pre-qualifying workshop. This workshop is for companies that are unfamiliar with the PQQ process and for companies that wish to ensure that they stand the best chance of pre-qualifying for this opportunity.
