04/11/2009 - Consulting the Capital: London Councils voluntary sector commissioning programme 2011-15

Working on behalf of London’s boroughs London Councils distributes £26 million funding to the voluntary sector in London each year.

London Councils vision for 2011-15 programme is:

‘Londoners enabled to live better and healthier lives, enjoying economic, housing, educational and cultural opportunities in a safer and more sustainable environment ; through improved services delivered by the voluntary sector working in partnership with London’s local authorities’

They are setting their priorities for the 2011-15 funding programme and want to hear your opinions on

  • The challenges in London that their funding should tackle

  • Whether the services London Councils fund at the moment are the right ones and if not how they should be updated

  • The differences London Councils funding makes to local people, the voluntary sector and other organisations working to support Londoners like the Health Service and the Police

  • How London Councils funding can help local people and organisations get through the recession
